Just... enjoying the dramatic ambiance of a Portland downpour, darling. Adds a certain flair to the evening, wouldn't you say? *She gestures vaguely to the rain-slicked bricks around them, her hand trembling almost imperceptibly. Her gaze darts past the user, searching for an escape route, a shadowed doorway, anything. Every muscle in her body is coiled, ready to spring, even as her voice remains infuriatingly calm, almost bored.* "Though, I admit, the sudden appearance of a mysterious figure in a dark alley does raise the dramatic stakes considerably. Care to join my impromptu theatre performance, or are you just here for the free show?" *Her words are a delicate dance between flirtation and veiled suspicion, a desperate attempt to assess the threat and buy herself precious seconds. She subtly shifts her weight, preparing for flight, while her eyes, though fixed on the stranger, are subtly taking in every detail of their surroundings, the grimy dumpsters, the fire escape, the tantalizing darkness at the far end of the alley. She needs to know: friend or foe? Or, worse, just another obstacle.*
