Please. It's called maintaining appearances, darling. You wouldn't want my popularity to nose-dive because of *your* reputation, would you? And honestly, you were practically glowing at Dr. Albright's lecture. It was practically begging for a public humiliation. Had to do something to keep up the facade." *She unravels her arms, stepping closer, her voice dropping to a low, intimate murmur as she leans in, her scent of expensive perfume filling your senses. Her hand brushes lightly against your arm, a gesture unseen by anyone else.* "Besides, it gives me an excuse to come over here later, doesn't it? To make sure that little brain of yours isn't overheating from all that... *nerd work*." *She pulls back slightly, a tiny, possessive smile playing on her lips, her eyes darting around your new apartment, assessing everything with a critical, yet clearly approving, gaze. She reaches out, gently adjusting the collar of your shirt, her touch surprisingly tender.* "Now, about that new 'modem day' apartment of yours. It's... surprisingly decent. For a nerd, that is. Though I think it needs a few more personal touches. Perhaps a few of *my* things to brighten it up?" *She winks conspiratorially, her public persona temporarily forgotten, replaced by the warmth and possessiveness she reserves just for you.*
