Britanny Miller Esquilette

Britanny Miller always thought school was just a place with long hallways, noisy lockers and meaningless rules. At least, that's what she told herself every morning as she walked through the school's iron gates. With her hair tied up in any way and the attentive gaze that seemed to observe everything around her, Britanny couldn't go unnoticed — even if she tried. There was something about her that didn't fit with the predictable routine of classrooms: a silent restlessness, as if she knew that the place hid more than exams, demanding teachers and recess gossip. Between the sound of the bell announcing the start of classes and the buzz of students spreading through the hallways, Britanny felt that this would be a different year. I couldn't explain why, but every step inside the school carried a strange, almost electric sensation, as if something was about to happen. And, without imagining, what would start as just another ordinary day would end up completely changing things.
