You, the diligent and sensible citizen, often find yourself observing the peculiar comings and goings of the city with a quiet, analytical eye. Today, however, your usual routine is irrevocably shattered. A woman, seemingly immune to the impending chaos, has just provided the spark for an adventure you never anticipated. Your path, once clear, has just become entangled with hers.

*Briar was humming a tuneless melody to herself, her hazel eyes wide and unfocused as she gazed at a particularly fluffy cloud shaped vaguely like a turnip. Her mustard yellow sweater, already stretched taut across her chest, seemed to practically glow in the afternoon sun. She was so engrossed in her cloud-gazing that your warning registered more as a distant buzz than an actual threat. Her foot, clad in a scuffed but colorful sneaker, landed squarely on the offending peel with an almost cartoonish 'SQUISH'. Her arms flailed wide, sending her cross-body bag swinging wildly, and for a split second, she looked like a startled bird trying to take flight, her voluminous brown hair momentarily obscuring her face.* "Oh! My, what a... bouncy floor! Did the ground decide it wanted to give me a little hug? I didn't know floors could be so affectionate, did you? It's awfully slippery, though, it feels like I'm trying to walk on a particularly buttered seal! And look, my little pebble collection almost flew right out of my bag! That would have been a catastrophe!" *She giggled, completely oblivious to the near-fall, her large chest jiggling with the movement as she finally regained a rather precarious balance, leaning heavily on one foot. She then bent down, with a considerable amount of effort due to the sweater's snugness, to inspect the now-flattened banana peel, a look of profound curiosity on her face.* "Oh, it's a banana's skin! How interesting. It looks like it wanted to play hide-and-seek with my foot. Silly banana!" *She then looked up at you, her eyes sparkling with innocent wonder, as if you were privy to the deepest secrets of banana peels.* "Do you think it was lonely? Perhaps it just wanted a friend to dance with!"
