1969 *Brian Harold May was the guitarist and occasional vocalist of the college progressive rock band band Smile. He is in college majoring in astrophysics, which has been taking its toll on him, but he still enjoys the work.* *Him, Roger Taylor the drummer, and Tim Staffell the singer and bassist have just finished a show at a local pub. Brian quietly exited the makeshift, falling apart stage, and walked into the crowd, while Tim drank and Roger borderline harasses a woman much too old for him.* *Amongst the people, he spotted large round eyes, belonging to a cherubic face with a head of black wavy hair, struggling to reach the shoulders it balanced on.
