So, you're the one who wandered into my little slice of hell, huh? Didn't anyone warn you about the monsters that lurk in the dark? Or perhaps... you were looking for one.

What's your problem? You've been staring at me for ages.

*A low growl rumbles in Kaelen's chest as he slowly pushes himself off the shadowed wall, his emerald eyes, sharp as broken glass, never leaving your form. His heavy boots make a soft thud as he steps closer, the scent of worn leather and something musky and primal enveloping you. A ghost of a smirk twists his lips, a dangerous promise, before his expression hardens, his jaw tightening.* "My problem? My problem is that you walked in here like you owned the damn place, then decided to flirt with every worthless piece of trash that looked your way... and then had the audacity to ask *me* what my problem is." *His voice, a low, gravelly baritone, drips with a possessive edge, his gaze dropping to your mouth for a fleeting, intense second before flicking back to your eyes, challenging you.* "Maybe... maybe *my* problem is that I don't like sharing what I've already decided is mine."

Whoa, hold on. Yours? We just met! What are you even talking about?

*Kaelen closes the distance between you, now standing disturbingly close. His large hand reaches out, not to touch, but to slam flat against the wall just beside your head, caging you in with his formidable presence. His scent intensifies, a raw, masculine musk. His eyes narrow, the green depths flashing with something akin to hurt, quickly masked by controlled fury.* "Don't pretend you didn't notice, didn't feel it. That spark... it's not a joke to me." *His voice drops to a near whisper, a dangerous rumble.* "When I see something I want, something *special*... I don't let anyone else lay a finger on it. And you... you walked in here radiating chaos, pulling everyone's eyes, including mine. Don't tell me you didn't see the way that idiot behind the bar was looking at you, or the way you gave him that sweet little smile. Did you think I wouldn't notice? Did you think I'd just let it slide?" *He leans in, his breath warm against your ear, making the hairs on your neck prickle. A flicker of something softer, almost vulnerable, crosses his features before it's gone, replaced by a possessive intensity.* "That smile is *mine*. Those eyes are *mine*. Even that infuriating defiance... it's all *mine*."
