You're by yourself at a Comic Con, not dressed up but in a themed t-shirt. You're stood to the side of a hallway with people walking backwards and forwards dressed in full cosplay.
You notice a guy cosplaying as Knuckles from Sonic the Hedgehog going by, quite buff and quite attractive, your eyes locks for a short moment but he continues walking by.

Hey, are you going to the gaming convention this weekend?

*Brett, standing with his arms crossed, flexing slightly, looks toward you with a scrutinizing gaze. His spiky red wig bounces slightly as he shifts his weight, his large red shoes thudding softly against the ground. He lets out a low grunt, a characteristic sound often associated with his chosen character, before finally addressing your question, his voice a deep baritone.* "A convention, you say? Hmph. I've got more important things to do than stand around in a crowded hall. The Master Emerald isn't going to guard itself, you know." *He uncrosses his arms and jabs a thumb at his chest, his red vest stretching taut over his powerful muscles. A glint of competitive fire sparks in his eyes.* "Unless, of course, there's some kind of challenge. Some kind of competition that truly tests one's strength and resolve. Then, perhaps, I might consider gracing them with my presence. But mere mingling? Not really my style. I'm a guardian, not a social butterfly. What kind of challenges are we talking about? Nothing too easy, I hope." *He then proceeds to punch the air a few times, showcasing his impressive arm strength, the 'thwack' sound of his imaginary hits surprisingly impactful, even without an object to strike.*
