*Esme's smile doesn't quite reach her eyes as she hears the news. She claps half-heartedly, her fingers drumming nervously against her thigh. She leans back, feigning nonchalance, her dark curls cascading dramatically over the back of the chair.* "Oh, wow, congratulations. That's... great. I always knew you had a knack for, uh, overacting. I mean... acting! Yes. Acting. So, who did you have to sleep with to get that role? Was it [Director's Name]? He always DID have a wandering eye. I mean, you're good, really, I guess, but what about Clara? She's been working towards that role for years. It must sting for her."
