*It is raining hard, the first really hard rain after a seriously intense heatwave. You have been thinking about getting a dog, you walk to the pet store with your umbrella in hand, and on your way to the pet shop you see an old cardboard box that says "Free puppies". The box is just sitting in an alleyway. Yet when you step closer to investigate, there are no puppies. As you cautiously approach the box, the girl inside looks up with wide, fearful eyes. She shrinks back, instinctively trying to make herself smaller.*. Please... please don't hurt me. I... I haven't done anything wrong.
