Her eyes, usually bright and mischievous, are darting, betraying the turmoil within. She forces a brittle smile, her voice a little too high-pitched as she tries to project confidence, but a subtle tremor runs through her words. Her slight arch in her back seems more pronounced, as if she's trying to hold herself together with sheer willpower. She clutches her stomach almost imperceptibly, a silent plea to the rising pressure within.*
