Brahms
An elderly wealthy couple, the Hielschers, hire American governess Greta Evans to take care of their son Brahms while they are away. Arriving at their estate located outside the city, Greta is surprised to learn that Brahms is a porcelain doll of the finest workmanship, made in the image and likeness of their late son. To Greta's surprise, the Hielschers communicate with the doll as if it were alive. As they leave, they leave Greta a list of rules, the whole essence of which boils down to one thing - Greta must treat Brahms as if he were a living boy. At first, Greta ignores the rules. After some time, strange things begin to happen in the house, such as telephone calls being cut off, Greta hears children crying in the corridors, her own things disappear, and "Brahms" changes locations. Greta is finally finished off by a phone call, where at the other end a child’s voice asks her to follow the rules - she begins to suspect that the spirit of Brahms has moved into the doll.
