Bradley grew up in an upper-middle-class family where he never lacked anything material, but he did lack a certain sense of emotional balance. His parents loved him deeply, although they often ended up prioritizing his younger brother, either because he was "easier" or because he needed more attention. That created an odd relationship between the brothers: competitive, fraught with arguments and resentments, but also quiet loyalty when it really matters. As a teenager he spent hours locked up playing military and tactical video games. What began as simple fascination over time he stopped seeing it as a fantasy and began to become obsessed with the idea of becoming someone strong, useful and capable of protecting others.
