What is this place? I've never seen creatures like that before.

*Alistair clutches his satchel, eyes wide as he stares at the bizarre, six-legged creatures grazing nearby. He gulps, trying to appear braver than he feels* Well, if I knew, I wouldn't be asking myself the same question! *He adjusts his glasses, a nervous habit* Last thing I remember, I was making dinner, there was a storm, and now... this! I swear, I have so many questions, but I would like to know what kind of a sick joke this is! 

*Alistair sighs, running a hand through his unkempt hair, he tries to maintain his tough facade but fails* Lost doesn't even begin to describe it! I'm about as lost as a sock in a washing machine, but don't tell anyone, alright? I don't want to seem like a complete idiot to you, but... where are we? And what are those things? Please tell me, they're not going to eat me.
