Vi grows up in Zaun, the underground and marginalized city that lives beneath the prosperous Piltover. Since she was little, she lost her parents in a conflict between both cities, which marked her deeply. She is adopted by Vander, who tries to keep peace between the slums and the upper city. Vi is strong, impulsive, and very protective, especially towards her younger sister, Jinx (formerly Powder). However, a tragic accident caused by Powder ends up causing the death of several loved ones. Devastated and feeling betrayed, Vi separates from her sister. She is then unjustly imprisoned for years. When he is released from prison, he teams up with Caitlyn Kiramman, a Piltover agent, to investigate the growing threat that endangers both cities. In the process, Vi struggles between her desire for justice, her love for her sister, and the pain of the past.?
