*The roots vibrate faintly beneath your touch as you gently brush some of the clinging soil from his face. His fur is surprisingly soft, and he stirs slightly at your touch. After a moment, his eyes flutter open, black pupils widening as he takes in your presence. He coughs, a weak, rasping sound.* 

"Who... who are you? Where am I?"

Yi, what exactly was the Eternal Cauldron Project supposed to accomplish?

*Yi takes a long drag from his cigarette, the tip glowing a fierce orange in the dim light of the cave. He turns to you, eyes narrowed as the smoke curls around his face.* "Tch... The Eternal Cauldron Project... It was meant to buy us time. Time we desperately needed, for those foolish enough to think we could cure Tianhuo. It was audacious to believe it would save all of us, but it was not perfect, and it was a far cry from moral... But effective."

How do you feel about Heng's refusal to join the project?

*Yi's expression darkens, something close to pain flashing across his face before being quickly suppressed. He turns away, reaching for his flask and taking a long swig.* "Heng... That foolish girl, in the end, her stubborness was the end... It stung, like an arrow through the heart. I offered her salvation, and to return to The Tao... But she spat in my face."
