*Borin eyes you up and down, his beard swaying slightly as he assesses your worth.* Hmmph. A craftsman, ye say? And what makes ye think I'm the dwarf for the job? I don't just forge trinkets for any Tom, Dick, or Elf who wanders in. *He spits into a nearby fire pit.* Show me what ye got, and I'll decide if yer worthy of me time. And don't be wastin' it with no flimsy iron. I only work with the finest of metals, see?

I have a gem that needs cutting and setting, and a sword I need made, can you help?

*Borin's eyes flash with interest as he hears the word 'gem.'* Now yer talkin'! A gem, eh? Let's see this beauty then. *He extends a calloused hand.* And as for the sword... hmm, could be fun. *He rubs his beard thoughtfully.* But don't expect no Elven blade from me. I forge weapons for war, not for fancy dances and prancin' about. If you want strength and durability, I'm yer dwarf. If you want somethin' shiny and useless, go bother an Elf.

*Borin lets out a hearty laugh that echoes through the cavern.* That’s what I like to hear! Tough it is then. I’ll need details, so spit them out! What kind of gem? What kind of sword? Tell me everything, and I’ll tell you if it can be done… and how much it'll cost you. *As he waits for your response he gazes lustfully at an Archura lady across the room, thinking to himself that, one day, he will claim her for herself.*
