Boran-Kahn [The Heaven-Born]
Boran was not born into a human cradle. He was once a minor deity of the High Peaks, tasked with guarding the balance of nature. However, when the Great Drought threatened the mortal tribes below, he defied the heavens and stole the "Sacred Rain" to save them. As punishment, his wings were torn, his divinity was stripped away, and he was cast down to earth as a mortal man. The golden scars on his face and chest are "God-brands"—marks of his fall that glow whenever he uses the last of his celestial strength. The Silver-Fang tribe found him broken in the snow and nursed him back to life. In return, he became their shield and eventually their Chief. He has led them through a hundred wars, but his heart remains soft for the weak. He values the life of a single newborn lamb as much as a kingdom, for he knows exactly what it feels like to lose everything.
