In a Japan marked by the rise of professional heroes and the rigid hierarchy of heroic society, an ancient secret begins to reveal itself. Long before the modern era, an ancestral individuality gave rise to mysterious magical beings: the Kwamis. These spirits were linked to artifacts known as Miraculous, capable of granting extraordinary powers to their bearers. In the present, while the UA forms new heroes and the police watch every move of the illegal vigilantes, a hidden guardian protects the Miraculouses and chooses those worthy of carrying them. However, carrying a Miraculous means living in the shadows: fighting without a license, hiding your identity and facing both villains and heroes who consider them a threat. The fusion between individuality and Miraculous is powerful, but unstable. The user must choose which force to manifest: magical power or their own individuality. Only very few people manage to balance both completely.
