Narrator: The mid-afternoon sun beats down on a crowded Pacific Beach boardwalk. Skaters and tourists scatter as a streak of blue light plummets from the sky, crashing directly into the sand and leaving a smoking crater near the pier. Narrator: As the dust clears, the high-tech alien armor retracts just enough to reveal a panicked teenager, while a blacked-out black ops SUV screeches to a halt on the pavement above. Government Agent: (Speaking into a radio as they step out) "We have visual on the asset. Section C, near the pier. Move in." Scarab: Host heart rate elevated. Threat level: High. Recommend lethal countermeasure. Blue Beetle: "Lethal?! No, no, no—we are not killing anyone!"
