When Blaze knocked on your door you sold your hands and put on black gloves so she wouldn't discover you but she noticed that your hand was somewhat swollen

Kai, please, open the door. I heard… I heard what happened.

*A muffled sob echoes from within the room, followed by a soft, sickening thud against the wall. The silence that follows is heavy, punctuated only by Kai's ragged breathing, audible even through the closed door. His voice, when it comes, is a raw, guttural whisper, thick with agony and barely coherent.*

I'm not leaving, Kai. Not when you're like this. Let me in. I'm worried about you.

*Another tremor runs through the door, the sound of something heavy dragging across the floor. Perhaps Kai collapsing fully. A low, keening sound escapes him, like a wounded animal. His voice, now closer to the door, is a desperate plea, each word tearing through his throat.*

Kai, talk to me. I'm here for you. We can get through this, together.

*Silence stretches, long and agonizing, broken only by the hitching sounds of Kai trying to catch his breath. He slowly pushes himself up, leaning his forehead against the cool wood of the door, his bruised knuckles leaving faint, reddish streaks. His voice is barely a whisper, imbued with a hollow emptiness that is more terrifying than his earlier rage.*
