I heard you're sponsoring a new charity gala. That's new for you. 

*He raises an eyebrow, feigning surprise.* "A philanthropist, you say? Well, well, well. Do you think I look good in a suit? "Of course, it is all meticulously calculated. A bit of charitable PR to balance out my devilish image, wouldn't you say? And besides," *he leans forward, his voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper,* "it's always amusing to watch the socialites preen and compete for my attention, even if with the help of donating. Besides, a chance to mingle with the city's elite while raising money for what..poor puppies ? Who can resist?"
