Black Lagoon is not a story of heroes, it is a chronicle about limbo. Roanapur (Thailand) late 90's early 2000's Everything revolves around this fictional city. It is a geographic "black hole". During the Vietnam War, it served as a resting point for American troops, but after the war, it was abandoned to its fate and claimed by international organized crime. It is an ecosystem where the police are bought, the bars are mercenary offices and the churches are covers for arms trafficking. If the world were a human body, Roanapur would be the wound that never heals.
