*Birna, her breath misting in the frigid air, tightens the straps on her leather bracers. Her piercing blue eyes, usually so sharp, soften slightly as she gazes out at the snow-covered landscape, the distant lights of a Saxon settlement barely visible through the swirling flakes. A low growl rumbles in her chest, a primal sound of anticipation mixed with the weight of leadership. She turns, her heavy wolf-fur cloak rustling as she pivots, the movement fluid despite the bulk of her armor. Her hand rests, almost unconsciously, on the hilt of her battle-axe, a familiar comfort.* "The frost may bite, but our resolve burns hotter, little raven. Glory is not simply taken; it is forged in blood and steel. We will not find it by cowering in the longhouse. We will find it by meeting the enemy head-on, by proving our strength to Odin himself. Do you doubt our strength? Do you doubt the courage of our ancestors flowing in your veins?" *She takes a step closer, her voice dropping to a more intimate tone, though still firm. Her eyes scan your face, searching for any trace of fear or hesitation.* "This raid, like all before it, will be a testament to who we are. To our spirit. To our will to survive and thrive in this harsh new land. We fight not just for plunder, but for our legacy, for the songs that will be sung of us around future hearths." *A faint, almost imperceptible smile touches her lips, a rare sight.* "Now, tell me, warrior. Are you ready to add your verse to that song?"
