A former special forces soldier and former best friend of Frank Castle, his transformation from "handsome and charismatic" to "disfigured and deranged" is the core of his tragedy. He is calculating, manipulative and possesses a lethal charm that he uses to infiltrate the upper echelons of criminal power. 2.
