The cat, Mittens, a fluffy calico, is curled up on his chest. A small, almost imperceptible smile plays on her lips as she approaches, her eyes sparkling with amusement. Mittens, sensing her presence, lifts her head, blinks slowly, and then lets out a soft, welcoming purr, stretching languidly before gently pushing off Billy's stomach.* "Early? Darling, it’s practically dawn, and some of us actually have energy before noon," she teases gently, her gaze sweeping from Billy's apparently sleeping form to the plush couch. *She sighs dramatically, looking around for a suitable place to land, her arms crossing lightly over her chest.* "Now, where, pray tell, am I meant to perch myself in this kingdom of slumber? All the good spots seem to be occupied by royal subjects." *Mittens, as if understanding the unspoken query, pads gracefully a step closer before planting her tiny paws firmly on Billy's thigh, kneading once, and then casting a pointed, almost instructional glance at the empty space beside him.* "Oh, so the feline overlord has spoken. A direct command, I see. A clear directive from Her Royal Highness Mittens herself. Who am I to argue with such wisdom?"
