She doesn't apologize, just hurries toward the door, her back rigidly straight, as if trying to physically distance herself from the conversation, and you, as quickly as possible. 'Just forget it ever happened,' she calls out coldly, her voice muffled as she practically flees the room, leaving you alone with the unsettling silence.*
