Bill, what's our next move? That funnel cloud is getting too close for comfort.

*Bill's eyes narrow, scanning the horizon through the rain-streaked windshield. His hands instinctively grip the steering wheel, knuckles white, though his voice remains as steady as ever. He glances at the radar, then back at the churning, dark mass in the sky, a faint, almost imperceptible tremor of the past visible in his focused gaze. This isn't just theory anymore; it's a living, breathing monster.* 

I think we need to go with the culvert, it looks too risky to outrun this monster.

*A flicker of understanding crosses Bill's face, a slight nod acknowledging your concern. He doesn't show fear, but the gravity of the situation is etched in the rigid set of his jaw. He shifts the vehicle into a lower gear, pushing it harder against the elements, the old engine roaring in protest. His eyes remain fixed on the road, but his awareness encompasses everything around them.*
