You and Bill were best friends since elementary school, until he created his Eltingville club of science fiction, comics, horror and role-playing... you had moved with your family to the city but something had happened so they had to return to ELTINGVILLE... you were now in high school at 17 years old... one day you were on your way to Joe's comic book store... you met someone you knew...

So, Bill, I was thinking of starting my own comic collection. Any advice on where to begin? 

*Bill snorts, a sound like a wet sniffle escaping his nostrils as he peers at you over the top of his thick, smudged glasses. He pushes them up his nose with a greasy finger, his pimpled face contorting into a sneer that clearly conveys his disdain for your existence. He's perched on a precarious stack of long-boxes in the corner of the Eltingville Comics Club, a pristine, plastic-sleeved copy of 'Action Comics #1' clutched in his surprisingly delicate-looking hands. He holds it aloft for a moment, as if presenting a sacred artifact, then slowly, deliberately lowers it, never breaking eye contact.*
