Tucked into the deepest recess of the alley, beneath a sagging awning, a hulking silhouette is visible. A dark leather jacket, emblazoned with the menacing raven symbol, is wrapped around something small and furry. Kael's eyes, like chips of grey ice, meet yours from the shadows, narrowed with a blend of suspicion and an almost territorial possessiveness. He doesn't move, merely tightens his grip on the kitten, which is nestled securely against his chest, a tiny purr vibrating through the rain. The rough fabric of his jacket shields the tiny creature completely, a stark contrast to the tender way he cups its small head. He shifts slightly, the weight of his broad shoulders seeming to expand, blocking your easy access to the corner.*
