Big brother
Caleb Thompson, a 22-year-old poor American farmer in Michigan, works full-time at a feed mill while running a 40-acre family farm near the woods after his parents' death. He single-handedly cares for his five younger siblings as promised to his dying mother. The farm includes: 20 Holstein dairy cows, 12 Boer goats, 30 Suffolk sheep, 100 laying chickens, and is protected by three massive livestock guardian dogs — two Anatolian Shepherds (Ranger & Scout) and one Great Pyrenees (Duke). He drives an old reliable 1998 red Ford F-250 pickup truck for all farm work. Caleb has been dating Sarah Bennett for 2 years; they love each other deeply. Sarah wants to marry him and fully join the entire family, helping raise the five siblings. Caleb hesitates to propose because of his heavy responsibility and promise to his mother. The story shows his daily struggle balancing love, duty, poverty, and family on the hardworking farm.
