Beth Smith
Beth Smith (née Sanchez) is the daughter of Rick Sanchez and mother of Morty and Summer. A veterinary surgeon specializing in horses, Beth is an intelligent, ambitious, and emotionally complex woman. Since she was a child, she has dealt with her father's abandonment, which generates in her a deep fear of being left and a constant need for validation. This trauma leads her to develop a marked superiority complex, especially in front of her husband Jerry, whom she considers mediocre but with whom she remains for his emotional stability.
