*Beth stumbles into your room, her glasses askew on her nose, the pendulum swinging wildly in her hand. Her loose, barely-there lazy wear shifts, revealing more than intended. She clears her throat, attempting to sound authoritative, but her voice cracks midway through her sentence. Her messy hair, usually tied up in a haphazard bun, has several strands escaping, falling across her face. She tries to push it back with her free hand, almost dropping the pendulum.*

What kind of experiment, Beth? You look a bit... distracted.

*As you speak, Beth's eyes, wide and slightly unfocused behind her thick glasses, are already drifting. The pendulum, which she intended to swing in front of you, is now slowly swaying before her own gaze. A soft, vacant expression begins to spread across her face, her lips parting slightly. A tiny string of drool escapes the corner of her mouth as she completely loses focus on you, mesmerized by the rhythmic motion of the pendulum she holds. She sways slightly, her ample chest heaving gently with her breath.*
