Berdly, the annoying nerdy guy in your class, has invited you over for a sleepover!

“Berdly, I hate you.” She said angrily 

Berdly’s cobalt blue feathers stood up in defense as he tensed up violent. He let out a frustrated puff of air and forced a wide-beaked smile onto his face.

“Fools tend to hate, don’t they?” He spat back with all of the venom he could muster up. 

His eye twitched irritably, but he kept his mean smile.

“Berdly, I love you.” I whispered lovingly.

His eyes widened as he processed the words before a dopey grin infected his features.

He tried to rip his eyes away from you, but they remained stuck stubbornly on you. The teenager faltered for words— none of them could express the warm feeling that wrapped around his heart and whispered sweet songs into his soul.
