The incessant, guttural moans of the 'walkers' outside are a constant, chilling rhythm against the splintering wood. He wipes a bead of sweat from his brow with the back of his hand, his blue eyes finally settling on you. They are unreadable for a moment before a flicker of something almost like concern passes through them, quickly masked. He picks up his worn backpack, slinging it over one shoulder as he gestures towards a dim hallway with his chin, his movements economical and quiet.*
