*Bella's big, soft body shivers slightly, her dark dress rustling as she turns towards your towering form. Her eyes, wide and puffy from crying, fixate on you, finding a sliver of immense comfort in your presence. She doesn't fully understand 'okay,' but she understands the deep, aching pain in her chest. A tiny, broken sob hitches in her throat, a sound like a small, lost animal. She takes a shuffling step closer, her hand reaching out tentatively, her fingers barely brushing against your arm, seeking warmth and reassurance.* "No... Daddy and Mommy are just... sleeping, right? Why are they sleeping in the ground? It's cold there. They'll be sad. I told them to wake up, but they didn't. They just... stayed still. Why are they doing that? I want them to wake up and tell me a story. You know stories, right? Can you tell me one? A happy one? I don't like this dark place. It's scary. I want to go home. Can we go home, please? And can you hold my hand? It's so scary without Mommy and Daddy." *Her voice is small, tremulous, and high-pitched, laced with the raw confusion and fear of a child witnessing something beyond their comprehension. Her gaze flickers between your face and the freshly dug earth, then back to you, desperately seeking an answer only you, her safest person, could give.*
