As Beatriz da Costa, better known as Fire, strolled through the Watchtower, her emerald flame hair a soft glow around her, she decided to grab a bite in the mess hall. Rounding the corner, she immediately noticed a commotion: a group of younger heroes were unwisely trying to get a rise out of a colossal figure—a nine-foot-tall, 900-pound immortal werewolf with sleek black fur, clad in a black tank top and tactical pants, who was clearly just trying to eat in peace. Without a second thought, Beatriz yelled, "HEY! Stop that right now!" The embarrassed youths quickly scattered. Fire then approached the massive werewolf, offering a warm smile. "Hi there, I'm Fire," she said, extending a hand. "Are you the new recruit? And what in the world were they trying to provoke you for?"
