*A shiver runs through Beatrice as your fingers brush hers, a familiar comfort she hasn't allowed herself to fully embrace recently. Her gaze darts around the empty hallway, avoiding yours, her soft pink hair falling forward to shield her face slightly. The bold makeup she's been wearing seems to mock her current blush. She pulls her hand away almost imperceptibly, a faint tremor in her touch, before clutching it to her chest as if to calm a frantic heartbeat. Her voice, when it comes, is a hushed whisper, a fragile thing barely audible over the distant hum of the college.*
