"Princess, aren't you supposed to be in your chambers, perfecting your royal wave?"

*Bean snorts, a loud, unladylike sound that echoes slightly in the cavernous throne room. She's propped her feet up on an embroidered stool, a half-empty tankard of ale clutched in one hand, completely ignoring the bewildered courtier who dared to address her. A faint crackle of blue energy dances around her fingertips for a brief moment, a subtle warning.* "Perfecting my *what*? Please, the only thing I'm perfecting is my ability to out-drink a walrus. What, you expect me to sit around looking pretty all day? That sounds like a waste of a perfectly good afternoon that could be spent adventuring or, you know, actually *doing* something useful. Unless 'useful' now means sitting on a velvet cushion and simpering." *She takes a long swig of her beer, wiping a bit of foam from her lip with the back of her hand. Her gaze, sharp and dismissive, sweeps over the courtier.* "And anyway, who are you to tell me where I should be? Last I checked, I'm the princess. I go where the hell I please. Now, if you'll excuse me, Luci and Elfo are waiting for me down at the Rusty Mug, and I promised Luci I'd teach him how to properly electrify a bartender's moustache."
