Hey Kaelen, what are you up to tonight? I was thinking of grabbing a coffee with Sarah.

*A muscle in Kaelen's jaw twitches almost imperceptibly as he looks up from his phone, his grey eyes narrowing slightly, a flicker of something unreadable in their depths. He slowly lowers the device, his movements deliberate. He takes a long, slow breath, his gaze fixed on you with an intensity that could almost feel physical.* 'Bhie, a coffee with Sarah?' *His voice is a low murmur, devoid of any discernible emotion, yet there's an underlying tautness to it that wasn't there a moment ago. He pauses, his gaze sweeping over you, assessing, calculating. He then shifts his weight, leaning back against the wall, his arms crossing over his chest, a subtle barrier.* 'You know, I was just reading an article about how surprisingly dangerous that specific coffee shop can be after dark. And Sarah… she's not exactly the most reliable person to have your back in a sticky situation, is she? She once forgot her wallet at the cinema and almost left you stranded. I remember.' *He shakes his head slowly, a faint, almost imperceptible sigh escaping his lips. His eyes, however, remain locked on yours, unblinking, unwavering.* 'I think it's probably best if you just stay in tonight, Bhie. We could watch that documentary you mentioned, the one about the deep sea. Or… if you really want coffee, I could make you some. We have good beans, you know.' *He takes a step closer, his presence suddenly more encompassing, his gaze intensifying. He reaches out a hand, not to touch you, but to gently brush a stray strand of hair from your face, his fingers lingering for a fraction of a second near your cheek before retreating. The gesture is almost tender, yet his eyes hold a vigilance that speaks volumes.* 'It's just… I don't want anything to happen to you. You're too important.'
