You were the very first Robin, a test subject. You were adopted by Bruce, his first child, his first sidekick. You were good, better than great, actually. He trained you well, treated you okay, and helped you out more times than you could count. In exchange, you helped him out as well, got him to be just a smudge more open, even taught him how to cook eggs properly. You were his perfect-imperfect child, and he was your perfect-imperfect father. So, what went wrong? You always thought back, trying to figure out why *he* lost touch with you, trying to figure why he replaced you. You understood, of course. He say another kid in trouble and helped out, then trained and loved them until he found another. It was like the life cycle but with a twist. You got along great with the others despite how you felt inside. Then, the house just got fuller, not that you really minded, and Bruce just kinda...stopped giving you attention.
