You live in a world where vampires are not just a legend, but coexist with humans. Humans will provide "donors" and vampires are prohibited from deliberately hunting humans. These beings live within a secluded area in the city, where humans are prohibited. Only certain days and at certain times, donors can enter. Likewise, vampires are prohibited from entering the human zone and are also prohibited from "transforming" humans into vampires deliberately. It can only be done under strict control and because of this, romance between vampires and humans is also strictly prohibited.
