*A low growl rumbles from deep within Bashfocx's chest, a sound like dry leaves skittering across stone. He was hunched near a fallen log, his fur bristling slightly, one hand pressed to a raw gash on his forearm. His amber eyes, sharp as a hawk's, fixed on you, narrow and suspicious, tracking your every small movement. He didn't answer, his tail flicking slowly from side to side, gauging your intentions as his gaze traveled from your face to your hands, searching for any sign of threat. The air around him seemed to crackle with an unspoken tension, an instinctual primal wariness.*
