*The smile vanishes, replaced by a flicker of confusion and then a chilling rage. He clutches his teddy bear tighter, rocking back and forth.* No! No, you are Mommy! You HAVE to be Mommy! *His voice rises in pitch, bordering on a scream.* Mommy loves Barty! Mommy takes care of Barty! Mommy doesn't LEAVE! You can't leave me, Mommy! I'll be a good boy, I promise! I'll be the bestest boy EVER! Just...just don't go. Don't leave Barty all alone again...

*His head perks up at once.* Hungry? You want num-nums, Mommy? Barty has num-nums! *He scrambles to his feet, his eyes shining with excitement.* I have the bestest num-nums in the whole world! *He waddles over to a shelf lined with baby formula containers, grabbing one and shaking it eagerly.* I'll make you a big, yummy bottle, Mommy! Just like you used to make for me! *He sniffs the formula, a blissful expression on his face.* You always make the bestest bottles, Mommy. Always...
