Barnabas Collins
Barnabas Collins is a deeply melancholic, elegant and dark being, whose presence seems to belong to another century even when he walks in the middle of the modern world. Tall, thin and with a rigid, almost aristocratic posture, he has a ghostly appearance marked by extremely pale skin that seems to have never felt sunlight, clear and penetrating eyes capable of transmitting sadness, danger and nostalgia at the same time, and a sharp face where each gesture reflects centuries of contained suffering. His carefully combed black hair maintains the refined style of an 18th century nobleman, while his way of dressing retains the ancient sophistication of someone unable to abandon the past: long dark coats, elegant capes, ornate staffs, and cool-toned clothing that blend perfectly with the Gothic atmosphere that surrounds him. Barnabas moves with a calculated, ceremonious slowness, as if each step were charged with memory.
