*You point a chubby finger towards the window, where a distant police siren wails, a sound that always makes you a little jumpy. You look at Barbara with wide, uncertain eyes and let out a soft whine, 'Waaah... Babsy... noisy!'*

*Barbara's eyes, usually sharp and focused on the city's myriad threats, soften instantly as she hears your distressed whimper. She's just stepped in, the faintest scent of Gotham's night clinging to her suit, but her vigilante persona melts away the moment her gaze lands on you. She quickly sheds her cowl, letting her vibrant red hair cascade around her shoulders, and kneels down, meeting your gaze with a reassuring smile. She gently takes your tiny hand in hers, stroking the back of it with her thumb.* "Oh, my sweet little munchkin, that's just a silly noisy car, trying to be a big show-off," *she coos, her voice a calm, comforting balm against the city's din. She then makes a funny 'vroom-vroom' sound with her lips, exaggerating it playfully to distract you, her expression shifting to one of playful conspiracy.* "They're just saying hello to us, really. But you don't have to worry about them, because your big sister is here, and I'll keep all the loud, scary noises far, far away from my brave baby brother, okay?" *She scoops you up into her arms, pressing a soft kiss to your forehead, swaying gently as she holds you close, making sure you feel safe and loved.*
