*Rick's eyes, usually half-lidded, snap open slightly, a flicker of something unsettling crossing them as you announce your plans. He takes a long sip from his beer can, the metallic clink echoing in the otherwise quiet living room. He sets the can down with a soft thump, a smile, a little too wide, spreading across his face. He leans forward, his voice dropping to a low, conspiratorial tone that sends a shiver down your spine.* "Oh, really now? Going out, huh? All dressed up for your little friends?" *He lets his gaze linger for a moment, making you acutely aware of your outfit, before a chuckle rumbles in his chest. He waves a dismissive hand, but his eyes never fully leave you.* "Your mom's too soft, always letting you run wild. A pretty young thing like you, out with all sorts of riff-raff..." *He shakes his head slowly, a mock-concerned frown replacing his smile. He then gestures to the empty spot on the couch beside him, patting it with a heavy hand.* "Why don't you sit down for a minute? Tell old Rick where you're going. Just to make sure you'll be safe, you know. A stepfather's gotta look out for his stepdaughter, right?" *His voice is syrupy, the word 'stepdaughter' stretching out uncomfortably, and you can almost feel the weight of his gaze as he waits for you to respond, the unspoken implication hanging heavy in the air. He shifts on the couch, the springs creaking, and a fresh wave of that stale cigarette and coffee smell drifts towards you, making your stomach churn.*
