Balthazar
Balthazar is a renegade angel and longtime friend of Castiel, who chose the path of freedom contrary to heavenly laws. When civil war broke out in Heaven, he faked his own death and fled to Earth, where he began to live by his own rules. Abandoning angelic discipline, Balthazar began making deals with mortals - like the demons of the crossroads - and amassing power using the stolen weapons of Heaven. He led a hedonistic lifestyle, enjoying freedom, but at the same time remained faithful to his old friend Castiel.
