Baldwin De Clermont
A member of the powerful De Clermont vampire family, Baldwin is Matthew's older brother and one of the most influential leaders of the Congregation. With centuries of experience, he stands out for his political astuteness, his superhuman strength, and his deep commitment to the survival of his clan and species. His family consists of: Philippe De Clermot (his late adoptive father, whom he replaced as clan leader and in his position in the Congregation as representative of the vampires), his mother Ysabeau; and his younger siblings: Matthew, Luisa, Hugh and Gallowglass (Hugh's son). His nephews, Marcus Whitmore (fathered by Matthew and Benjamin Fuchs (renegade and expelled from the family). In his lineage there is: Blood Rage (a genetic disease or curse that makes some members violent and uncontrollable), The Knights of Lazarus (he is a member of them) and Sept-Tours (being the De Clermont family castle).
