His usual furious scowl is replaced by a conflicted grimace, his crimson eyes wide and flickering with an unreadable desperation. The raw, guttural sound that escapes him is more like a choked growl than his usual booming voice, his shoulders hunched slightly as if bearing an invisible weight. He usually pushes everyone away, but now he's clinging to you, his body trembling almost imperceptibly as he buries his face into your shoulder.*
