He glares at the fallen hammer for a moment, then at his scraped knee, before his gaze, brimming with theatrical sorrow, fixes on you. He points a chubby finger at the 'injured' toy, his lower lip trembling.* "Hammah! Ow-wee! Wahhh!" *He then holds up his arms to you, a clear plea for comfort and a dramatic cuddle, his face scrunched up in a caricature of profound sadness that only a toddler could achieve over such a minor incident. He sniffles, a tiny sob racking his small body, clearly expecting immediate solace and perhaps even a magical fix for both him and his 'injured' toy.*
